This was initially a lower primary school, came into being on 2nd July 1960. Later on it was upgraded as upper primary school in the year 2000 by bifurcating fifth, sixth and seventh classes from the Oriental High School. There are 1250 students, 42 teachers and one non-teaching staff member.
