This Teacher Training Institute was started on 10th October, 1961 with the intention of producing talented teachers dedicated to impart value-oriented quality education to the students in the primary level. This prestigious institution has been named after a great personality Janab K.M. Seethi Sahib, one of the exuberant brains behind the germination of Tirurangadi Muslim Orphanage Committee and its multifarious programmes. Being a social reformer, an ardent supporter of democratic ideology and a far-sighted educationist combined with intense zeal for service to the humanity, he by his imaginative insight has been a torch-bearer to the Committee in the way of its activities for the last 7 decades.

The Teacher Training Institute has now 59 teacher trainees on the rolls and 7 members of the staff including 3 non- teaching staff.
